Happy Thanksgiving season to all of you! I hope you are anticipating good times and good food.
So, my news includes a new release in less than three months. REALLY! I’m so excited to see Labor of Love in print. You can have a preview in December. In my December 1 newsletter I will have Chapter 1 available to read, exclusive to my newsletter.
If you haven’t signed up for my newsletter, please do. The link to Sylvan Reads (the name of my newsletter) is http://eepurl.com/gF-3I1.
Are you ready for the cover reveal? I’m so excited! I’ve waited a long time to release the first in my Gardens in Time novels. Labor of Love has been a labor of love, straight from my heart. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did writing it. For this series I chose four gardens in four different eras and countries with unique characters and plots. Labor of Love will release in February 2022. You have an opportunity to preorder your eBook copy and free short story from the publisher with this link: http://www.celebratelitpublishing.com/posts/book/labor-of-love/
Once again Roseanna White has designed a beautiful cover. Celebrate Lit Publishing has made this journey a joy! I cannot wait to hold my copy. February seems so far away…
Here is the backcover copy about the book:
Something sinister lurks in Pitti Palace.
Despite having spent eight years as companion to her cousins, Ana Geovani still questions her role and place in the Medici household. This uncertainty compounds and alarms as her cousin’s marriage approaches and a marriage is arranged for Ana.
With no say in her own future, fear and despair dulls even the splendor of the gardens she holds so dear.
As the newest under gardener at the palace, Marco Rossi should have everything he’s dreamed of–beautiful gardens to tend and master architects and gardeners to learn from. Yet a secret mission threatens his peace of mind, his position, and even the love of Ana. Although God is always with him, reminding him of a bigger plan, Marco feels the weight of the consequences he will face if he challenges a Medici member.
The desires of men and women, both royal and common, create costly dilemmas and potential disasters of hearts and souls. What will it take for Marco and Ana to prevail against everything driving them apart?

I’m beginning to understand hashtags. Some of my favorites are #amwriting, #am reading, #amediting, and #amreading. I am doing all of these every day.
Today, I want to inform my readers that I am writing. I endeavor to put my open to paper daily as I create fictional characters answering life’s questions. My writing did not end with the finale of the Revolutionary Faith Series. I still dream and plot about those beloved characters.
I’m writing my next series called Gardens in Time. The series contains my love of gardens, history, and travel. Each of the four novels will be set in a different century and country. I chose a favorite place with a fantastic garden and an era with captivating circumstances.
It’s not time for a cover reveal, although I do have the cover for Labor of Love, Gardens in Time Book One. Set in 1560 Florence, Italy, the main character Ana finds her solace and worth in the medicinal gardens of Pitti Palace. As a distant cousin of the Medici rulers, she acts as a companion to the duke’s daughter. Intrigue and mystery interrupt her freedom to roam the Boboli gardens. Labor of Love is set for release in February 2022.
The second book, Promise of Purity, is finished! I’m editing it before I send it to be professionally edited. Set in 1660 at Hampton Court Palace in England, Kate, a Puritan baker’s daughter finds the clashing of two worlds as she helps create a stunning garden for the king’s mistress. The worldly court strings mess with her Puritan ties.
The third book, Whispers of Wisdom, is waiting patiently to be inputted and edited. This one holds a piece of my heart for the chateau, Chenonceau, is my favorite place on earth. I’m researching for the fourth book which will be set in Switzerland. Fun times!
My other projects are many including a few short stories and ideas for a new series. I appreciate your interest.
Now, tell me what you are doing this summer. Use a hashtag or not!
July is here, and I’m so excited about summer camp. Well, a different kind of camp. I’m participating in the NaNoWriMo Camp where I join other authors on a vigorous journey through the writing world, the highs and lows, the ravines and hills, and hopefully a mountain or two. Each camper has his/her own goal. Mine is a rigorous 50,000 words–new words.
National Novel Writing Month is one of my favorite things to do. I will admit I’ve only done this twice before with success. Why? This is a place I can be held accountable for my goal and my words. That might seem silly because it’s a completely online environment. There are other “people” lurking just like me who need a place to record their words and progress. Each region has a cheering squad where we encourage each other to push forward.
I will post my progress occasionally. As of this moment, I’ve written 2210 words! Woo Hoo! But it is a start, right?
My goal is to complete Whispers of Wisdom (#3 in Gardens in Time) and begin a fun new series yet to be announced. I have my items of inspiration: books, pictures, maps, and vision board. I love the destination, Château de Chenonceau in France. Set in 1747 with the beautiful gardens and the River Cher as the background, my characters are experiencing some interesting scenarios with scheming and intrigue within the grounds they tend.
As I enjoy camp each day, I hope you have some of your own goals and projects for this month. Please share!!!
