“This story shows the strength and fortitude of the men and women of the American Revolution when surrounded by love.”
“History, intrigue, romance, all included in a beautiful love story.”
“Through your expertly developed characters, we experience emotions, fears and the role of faith in that journey. It’s as if we were there in our own time travel.”
I hope you will read the novel to form your own opinion.
Following is an excerpt from the first page of the novel:
Charles Town, South Carolina December 31, 1774
Louis Lestarjette paused with his hands on the hard-cherry wood armoire doors, depending on the strength of the massive piece of furniture to hold him upright. The slight pounding of a headache reminded him of the task before him.
Meet at the Exchange at eleven.
He was to come alone. The note had not been signed. Christopher Gadsden, his friend and business partner, had told him he’d receive an opportunity to help the cause. Since he trusted Christopher, he did not second-guess whether he should meet tonight. Nothing could keep him away. He needed to know how to protect Elizabeth from the turmoil brewing…….
You’ll have to read the rest on your own…Have a great week!

Title: Castle on the Rise
Author: Kristy Cambron
Genre: Christian Historical Romance
Release date: February 5, 2019
Publisher: HarperCollins
A storied castle. A band of rebels. A nation chasing a centuries-old dream of freedom. And three women who rise above it all . . .
When Laine Forrester travels overseas to attend her best friend’s vineyard wedding, she expects to find the bride on the brink of a fairy tale life. But after a series of unforeseen setbacks, it seems the storybook lives they’d imagined are suddenly ripping apart.
With hopes of resurrecting a happy ending, Laine agrees to accompany the newlyweds to the groom’s home in Ireland—never expecting she’d be the one drawn in by its wide-open moors, backroads bordering the Irish Sea, and a mysterious castle that dares to keep its secrets hidden.
From the storied streets of Dublin to the shores of the Emerald Isle, Laine is drawn in to the land and its rich history. The castle ruins whisper stories of Issy—a photojournalist battling through the 1916 Easter Rising, and Maeve—the castle’s lady of legend, fighting for survival through the 1798 rebellion that started it all.
Spanning more than two centuries, Castle on the Rise unites the legacy of three women who must risk mending the broken places within—for life, love, and the belief that even through the depths of our pain, a masterpiece of a story can emerge.

5-star review
Every girl’s dream is to live in a castle. Or is it? Castle on the Rise fluctuates between present day, 1916, and 1798 Ireland. The venue includes the Castle Chryn and Ashford Manor. Each era holds its own mystery and bittersweet circumstances. I had forgotten a lot of this Irish history, so I relished the walk through the past. Cambron always make the past relevant for today.
The present-day character is Laine who would love to pretend all is well in her life. Can the secrets of the castle heal her hurts? The women of the past reveal secrets that bring the broken pieces of many lives to a place of mending. In 1798 Maeve struggles to protect her legacy from smugglers and rebellions. Issy joins the Irish Citizen Army using her photography as a skill to aid her fellow countrymen.
Cambron’s great attention to detail pulls the reader into the conflict and makes compassion for the struggles real. The first novel in this series, The Lost Castle, is another excellent example of weaving the present with the past.
Kristy Cambron is an award-winning author of Christian fiction, including her bestselling debut The Butterfly and the Violin, and an author of Bible studies, including the Verse Mapping Series. She is a passionate storyteller who travels to speak at ministry events across the country, encouraging women to experience a deeper life in the Word through verse mapping. Happy reading.
Bring Me Near, Revolutionary Faith Book Three will be released on February 26 in print and eBook form. How exciting! I hope all of you will purchase a copy and get involved in Elizabeth’s life. As I researched the American Revolution period, I knew I wanted a strong feminine character. A real one! What would a girl, a woman really be doing on a day-to-day basis on the brink of war and then during a war. Voila, the appearance of Elizabeth.
In Hold Me Close, Revolutionary Faith Book One, Elizabeth is eighteen-years-old, a loyal daughter in a Loyalist family. I’m not going to spoil the plot for anyone who has not read the first two books. She has light-brown curly hair and deep blue-gray eyes, about five-foot-five (I wanted her taller than I am!), talented (music) and a lover of gardening. This delightful girl runs head into the colony’s volatile dilemma. I’ll let you be the judge of her character in Surround Me, Revolutionary Faith Book Two as the situation escalates.
I enjoyed researching Elizabeth’s dresses. I’ve included a few for you to see. Her favorite colors are green, yellow, and purple.
As the heroine, Elizabeth experiences many difficult dramatic events. She does her best with what she knows and how she feels God is leading. Some of her comments and thoughts in Bring Me Near are: “I choose joy for you, even in the valley.” “Bring Sarah so near to You that she feels Your arms around her.” “Here she was making shirts for soldiers and singing of God’s mercy and blessings.” “Yet, mundane chores brought simplicity and importance to an otherwise chaotic existence.” “History was not made over casual ladies’ after-dinner gossip. Or was it?”
Enjoy Elizabeth’s journey in Bring Me Near.

We all have a lot going on this month. I hope you can find some time to relax and pick up a book. I have a suggestion–Hold Me Close. With the release of Bring Me Near is a few weeks, now might be the time to read Book One in the Revolutionary Faith series. The journey in 1772 Charles Town, South Carolina is an adventure that poses many questions about loyalty, comfort, conformity, dreams, and hopes. Order your copy today and begin the journey with Louis Lestarjette and Elizabeth Elliott.
Opening paragraph:
Louis Lestarjette stepped off the ramp onto dry land after weeks on the Sainte Claire. A line of carriages awaited weary travelers on the other side of the dusty boulevard. But none were waiting for Louis. With his luggage stored for the day at the dock, he set out with an address in hand. As he headed down Bay Street toward Church Street, he tried to adjust his legs from the rolling ship’s deck to dry land.
Also, I have a giveaway opportunity on Goodreads. Enter for your chance to win one of five print copies of Hold Me Close. If you know someone who might like the book, please share the giveaway and my website.

Have a great weekend!
I’m so ready for Bring Me Near release day. February 26! A little over 3 weeks. I’m thankful for my new publisher Celebrate Lit. I want to hold this novel, Book Three of Revolutionary Faith, in my hands. The cover is gorgeous. Roseanna White is the cover artist. Each cover is uniquely beautiful and captivating. Even though the novels are about both Louis and Elizabeth, my heroine carries the plot. What a role she and so many women had in the American Revolution.
So what do you think?
Soon I will have the pre-order link for Bring Me Near. Until then, spread the word and have your friends follow this blog in order to see what exciting news is around the corner.
It’s not too late to read the first two books, Hold Me Close and Surround Me. Louis and Elizabeth have some exciting adventures to share with you.
